Definitely one of the lesser known Derek Riggs’ covers for Maiden, but one that I’ve always gotten a kick out of. Here we have Eddie, the eternal Maiden mascot, torching Icarus’ wings with a flamethrower, while onlookers are engulfed in a wave of flames. The fire theme works well with the title track, and more bluntly with the Montrose cover on the flip, entitled “I’ve Got the Fire.” We’ll feature more Riggs cover art soon, but in the meantime you can check out all of his covers in this book.
